On December 27, 2023, the "Cabinet Order for Partial Revision of the Law Concerning the Use of Personal Identification Numbers in Administrative Procedures" was promulgated, and the current health insurance card will no longer be issued from December 2, 2024.

* The insurance card in your possession as of December 1 can be used for up to one year (until December 1, 2025) as long as it is still valid.

 

The insurance card of the my number card has the following three advantages.
1) Using my number insurance card saves 20 yen in medical expenses each time.
2) Better medical care is available.
3) Exemption from paying over the limit of high medical costs without any procedure.

If you are not registered to use your My Number Card as an insurance card, please bring your card as you can register at the medical institution.
