I used the insurance card of the former Health Insurance Association (or National Health Insurance) and was billed for medical expenses by my previous health insurance association (or National Health Insurance). What should I do?

Please pay the cost charged to the previous health insurance association (or National Health Insurance).

If you are qualified for Rakuten KENPO on the day you visit a medical institution and two years have not passed since you visited a medical institution, you can make a claim to Rakuten KENPO.

Required documents:

・ Application form

・ "Receipt (original)" when paying to the former Health Insurance (or National Health Insurance)

・ "Medical cost details (envelope that is strictly prohibited from opening)" sent from the former health insurance (or National Health Insurance)
