Do I need to pay standard meal expenses during a hospital stay if the medical treatment requires fasting or if I miss meals when returning home temporarily?

Meal expenses shall not accrue for days in which the insured person does not receive any meals. In addition, although in the past meal contribution during hospitalization had been based on the number of days of hospitalization, beginning April 2006 such costs shall be charged in accordance with the actual number of meals provided, up to a maximum of 3 meals per day.
